The project will work with young adults age 15-24. These will be either in year 9 at the "pilotschools", drop-outs from high school who are now under the city districts responsability and young adults lacking occupation and who are not registrered at any authority such as the Employment service. By working with intersectoral teams the project will offer individualized and regular support to the target group. Early interventions and prevention are crucial in order to make the target group stay in school, come back to school and/or find another occupation. The purpose of Hikikomori is to make sure that more young adults start and finish the high school education and decrease the number of young adults who neither work or study in the city districts. Milestones are: 1. Decrease the number of young adults in the city districts neither in work or school 2. More young adults will by the methods in the project finish their high school education 3. Enhance the employability by discovering and validating the competencies of the young adults in the project 4. Mobilize formal and informal networks and create good role models 5. Try a new intersectorial organization with representatives from Sector education, Sector Culture and Leisure and Social care. (Swedish)
