Since 2010 the level of illness absence has increased in female-dominated sectors in the Gothenburg region's member municipalities. The substrate for this analysis is the, since several years preformed report Nyckeltal personalhälsa, which gather and present statistics of illness among personnel working in the member municipalities. The challenges are several and they are common to the entire Gothenburg region. The development areas to improve prevention of illness and a decreased level of illness absence are multiple. Some of those, identified by the Human Resources Network in GR's member municipalities are lack of knowledge concerning health promotion, collaboration / lack of cooperation between the involved parties involved in the rehabilitation processes, and knowledge and understanding of how employees can influence their own health and working environment. Gothenburg Region member municipalities want this project to take a comprehensive approach to reduce illness absence due to mental illness among the municipal employees, mainly in female-dominated sectors. We approach this problem by focusing on efforts and actions that will have an impact on both organizational and individual level. We will do this project in collaboration to reach a higher effect, for more effective coordination and co-usage of assets and to exchange knowledge with each other. The overall objective of the project HälsoGReppet is, to enhance individuals' position at the labor market by preventing illness absence caused by mental illness. Targets 1: Develop the rehabilitation processes by creating an analysis model Target 2: Increase interaction between the various parties involved in the rehabilitation process Target 3: Increase managers' knowledge about the importance of health orientated leadership Target 4: Increase awareness and knowledge among employees and managers about their own health and successful efforts in their working environment The project objectives are about gaining an increased knowledge and skills of the local causal factors and to further develop the multi-year work that we carried out through the report Nyckeltal personalhälsa. We also need to increase and improve the cooperation at both strategic and operational level between the parties involved in the rehabilitation process. The widespread mental illness in female dominated sectors has many different reasons. The project will focus on skills and knowledge development of municipal managers so that they are equipped to lead a healthy organization and set to work preventive for a healthy working environment, to increase the level of illness absence. We will also improve the skills of the employees concerning the concept of health and how employees can work proactively with their own health. The project includes the Göteborg Region and surrounding municipalities as cooperation partners and the City of Gothenburg, the Social Insurance Agency and the region of Västra Götaland participate as partners. Together we will take the common HälsoGRreppet! (Swedish)
