O sistema que se propõe instalar tem como objetivo colmatar as lacunas identificadas. A sua conceção exigiu a avaliação de um conjunto alargado de fatores, tais como as localizações e coberturas dos postos da Rede Nacional de Postos de Vigia, as características técnicas dos equipamentos, as características geográficas de cada região que se pretende cobrir e a possibilidade de integração futura com as CIMs vizinhas. Its design required the evaluation of a wide range of factors, such as the locations and coverage of the posts of the National Network of Watch Posts, the technical characteristics of the equipment, the geographical characteristics of each region that is intended to be covered, and the possibility of future integration with the neighboring MICs. Het voorgestelde systeem heeft tot doel de vastgestelde lacunes op te vullen. Voor het ontwerp ervan moest een breed scala aan factoren worden beoordeeld, zoals de locaties en de dekking van de posten van het National Watch Post Network, de technische kenmerken van de apparatuur, de geografische kenmerken van elke regio die zal worden bestreken en de mogelijkheid van toekomstige integratie met de naburige MIC’s.
