Die Operation besteht darin, die Behandlungskapazität des Murteira WWTP zu erhöhen, um die neuen Anforderungen des Teilsystems mit der Einführung einer neuen biologischen Behandlungsphase (MBR-Technologie) und Interventionen in der Vorphase auszugleichen. Die Nichtdurchführung der Investition wird kurzfristig die Einhaltung der gemeinschaftlichen und nationalen Rechtsvorschriften, insbesondere der Richtlinie 91/271/EWG vom 21.
