Pravidelný monitoring pitné vody ve vodovodní síti města Votice odhalil v květnu 2015 nadlimitní obsah chlorovaných uhlovodíků (dále jen ClU). Bližším zkoumáním terénu a historie činností v okolí Votic bylo zjištěno, že potenc. zdrojem může být lůmek na Polském vrchu, který byl v minulosti živelně zavážen prům. odpadem.
