L'objectif du projet Cavalbio est de contribuer au développement d'une agriculture durable en Guadeloupe, et plus largement dans les Antilles Françaises en s'appuyany sur des recherches cognitives et méthodologiques pouvant favoriser l'émergence de solutions variétales répondant aux principales contraintes des filières ignames et agrumes. Pour les ignames l'adaptation à des systèmes de production "bas intrants", la résistance à l'anthracnose, la qualité et la productivité sont les cibles majeures. Pour les agrumes l'adaptation aux contraintes biotiques et en particulier au HLB sont des objectifs centraux tout en cherchant à améliorer la qualité des produits et l'étalement des productions (French)

The objective of the Cavalbio project is to contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture in Guadeloupe, and more broadly in the French Antilles, based on cognitive and methodological research that can promote the emergence of varietal solutions responding to the main constraints of the yam and citrus sectors. For yams adaptation to low input production systems, resistance to anthracnose, quality and productivity are the main targets. For citrus fruits adaptation to biotic constraints and in particular to HLB are central objectives while seeking to improve product quality and spread of productions (English)

Ziel des Cavalbio-Projekts ist es, zur Entwicklung einer nachhaltigen Landwirtschaft in Guadeloupe und in den französischen Antillen auf der Grundlage kognitiver und methodischer Forschung beizutragen, die das Entstehen von Sortenlösungen fördern kann, die den wichtigsten Zwängen der Zitrus- und Yammelwirtschaft gerecht werden. Bei Yamswurzeln sind die Anpassung an „niedrige Input“-Produktionssysteme die wichtigsten Ziele der Anthracnose-Resistenz, Qualität und Produktivität. Für Zitrusfrüchte sind die Anpassung an die biotischen Belastungen und insbesondere die HLB zentrale Ziele bei gleichzeitiger Verbesserung der Produktqualität und der Verteilung der Erzeugnisse. Het doel van het Cavalbio-project is bij te dragen tot de ontwikkeling van duurzame landbouw in Guadeloupe, en meer in het algemeen in de Franse Antillen, op basis van cognitief en methodologisch onderzoek dat de opkomst van rassenoplossingen kan bevorderen die beantwoorden aan de belangrijkste beperkingen van de yam- en citrussector. Voor yams aanpassing aan lage input productiesystemen, weerstand tegen antracnose, kwaliteit en productiviteit zijn de belangrijkste doelen. Voor citrusvruchten zijn aanpassing aan biotische beperkingen, en met name aan HLB, centrale doelstellingen, waarbij wordt gestreefd naar verbetering van de kwaliteit en verspreiding van de producties van citrusvruchten. L'obiettivo del progetto Cavalbio è quello di contribuire allo sviluppo di un'agricoltura sostenibile in Guadalupa, e più in generale nelle Antille francesi, sulla base di ricerche cognitive e metodologiche in grado di promuovere l'emergere di soluzioni varietali rispondenti ai principali vincoli del settore igname e agrumato. Per l'adattamento degli ignami ai sistemi di produzione a basso ingresso, gli obiettivi principali sono la resistenza all'antracnosio, la qualità e la produttività. L'adattamento degli agrumi ai vincoli biotici e in particolare all'HLB sono obiettivi centrali, cercando nel contempo di migliorare la qualità dei prodotti e la diffusione delle produzioni (Italian)

El objetivo del proyecto Cavalbio es contribuir al desarrollo de una agricultura sostenible en Guadalupe, y más ampliamente en las Antillas Francesas, basada en investigaciones cognitivas y metodológicas que puedan promover la aparición de soluciones varietales que respondan a las principales limitaciones de los sectores ñame y cítricos. Para la adaptación del ñame a sistemas de producción de bajos insumos, los principales objetivos son la resistencia a la antracnosis, la calidad y la productividad. En el caso de los cítricos, la adaptación a las limitaciones bióticas y, en particular, a la HLB son objetivos centrales, al tiempo que se intenta mejorar la calidad de los productos y la difusión de las producciones.
