L'ENSICAEN est un EPSCP sous tutelle du ministère de l'enseignement supérieur, de la recherche et de l'innovation. Il regroupe 7 laboratoires de recherche et une école. Au sein de ses laboratoires, la plus grande partie des acteurs de la recherche de l'ensemble universitaire régional dans les domaines de la physique, de la chimie, de l'électronique, de l'automatique et de l'informatique sont réunis. L'accroissement important et régulier du potentiel de recherche de l'établissement sur des thématiques porteuses et l'évolution des effectifs constatée ces dernières années rendent problématiques le respect des règles de sécurité et d'accessibilité dans les locaux actuels. Le laboratoire de Cristallographie et Sciences des Matériaux (CRISMAT) est une Unité Mixte de Recherche, créé en 1986, sous la triple tutelle du CNRS, de l’ENSICAEN et de l’Université de Caen Normandie. Cette unité est un laboratoire de recherche reconnu internationalement qui réunit des chimistes et des physiciens du solide. Il se veut être un centre de recherche ouvert sur les demandes sociétales, en particulier liées aux problématiques de la transition énergétique et d’allègement des structures, et être un acteur majeur dans le domaine des matériaux durables et intelligents. ENSICAEN is an EPSCP under the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. It brings together 7 research laboratories and one school. Within its laboratories, the majority of the research actors of the regional academic group in the fields of physics, chemistry, electronics, automation and computer science are brought together. The significant and regular increase in the institution’s research potential on key topics and the evolution of staff in recent years make it difficult to comply with the safety and accessibility rules in the current premises. The laboratory of Cristallography and Material Sciences (CRISMAT) is a Joint Research Unit, established in 1986, under the triple supervision of the CNRS, ENSICAEN and the University of Caen Normandie. This unit is an internationally recognised research laboratory that brings together solid chemists and physicists. It aims to be an open research centre on societal demands, in particular related to the problems of energy transition and structural relief, and to be a major player in the field of sustainable and intelligent materials. The project consists of the reconstruction of a new building housing the CRISMAT laboratory. (English)

In seinen Labors sind die meisten Forschungsakteure der regionalen Hochschule in den Bereichen Physik, Chemie, Elektronik, Automatisierung und Informatik zusammengeschlossen. Das starke und stetige Wachstum des Forschungspotenzials der Einrichtung zu wichtigen Themen und die in den letzten Jahren beobachtete Personalentwicklung machen die Einhaltung der Vorschriften über Sicherheit und Zugänglichkeit in den derzeitigen Räumlichkeiten problematisch. Das Labor für Kristallographie und Materialwissenschaften (CRISMAT) ist eine gemischte Forschungseinheit, die 1986 unter der dreifachen Leitung des CNRS, der ENSICAEN und der Universität Caen Normandie gegründet wurde. Diese Einheit ist ein international anerkanntes Forschungslabor, das Chemiker und Physiker des Körpers zusammenbringt. Es soll ein offenes Forschungszentrum für gesellschaftliche Anforderungen sein, insbesondere im Zusammenhang mit den Herausforderungen der Energiewende und des Strukturabbaus, und ein wichtiger Akteur im Bereich nachhaltiger und intelligenter Werkstoffe sein. Das Projekt umfasst den Wiederaufbau eines neuen Gebäudes, in dem das CRISMAT-Labor untergebracht ist. (German)

Binnen de laboratoria worden de meeste onderzoeksactoren van de regionale academische groep op het gebied van fysica, scheikunde, elektronica, automatisering en informatica samengebracht. De aanzienlijke en regelmatige toename van het onderzoekspotentieel van de instelling over belangrijke onderwerpen en de ontwikkeling van het personeel in de afgelopen jaren maken het moeilijk om de veiligheids- en toegankelijkheidsregels in de huidige gebouwen na te leven. Het laboratorium voor Cristallografie en Materiaalwetenschappen (CRISMAT) is een Gemeenschappelijke Onderzoekseenheid, opgericht in 1986, onder het drievoudige toezicht van het CNRS, ENSICAEN en de Universiteit van Caen Normandie. Deze eenheid is een internationaal erkend onderzoekslaboratorium dat solide chemici en fysici samenbrengt. Het is een open onderzoekscentrum voor maatschappelijke behoeften, met name in verband met de problemen van energietransitie en structurele hulp, en een belangrijke speler te zijn op het gebied van duurzame en intelligente materialen. Il laboratorio di Cristallografia e Scienze dei Materiali (CRISMAT) è un'unità comune di ricerca, istituita nel 1986, sotto la triplice supervisione del CNRS, dell'ENSICAEN e dell'Università di Caen Normandie. Questa unità è un laboratorio di ricerca riconosciuto a livello internazionale che riunisce solidi chimici e fisici.
