Σκοπός του προγράμματος είναι η σχολιασμένη έκδοση των επιγραμμάτων του Γρηγορίου του Ναζιανζηνού (στα Αγγλικά), δηλαδή του Ογδόου βιβλίου της Ελληνικής Ανθολογίας. Το βιβλίο θα περιλαμβάνει κριτική έκδοση, με αντιβολή των χειρογράφων, και σχολιασμό κατά στίχο στον οποίον θα διερευνώνται, μεταξύ άλλων, οι απηχήσεις των αρχαίων ποιητών στα επιγράμματα, η χρήση του ποιητικού λεξιλογίου και των λογοτύπων και ο τρόπος με τον οποίον αυτά προσαρμόζονται στα νέα τους, Χριστιανικά συμφραζόμενα. Η γενική Εισαγωγή θα αναφερθεί στα βιογραφικά στοιχεία του Γρηγορίου καθώς και στις συνθήκες κάτω από τις οποίες συνέθεσε τα επιγράμματα για τον θάνατο συγγενικών και φιλικών του προσώπων και θα εξετάζει ζητήματα γλώσσας, ύφους, μετρικής, κτλ. Η συστηματική μελέτη του ποιητικού ύφους του Γρηγορίου και του τρόπου με τον οποίο συνδυάζει την φρασεολογία της αρχαίας ποίησης με τη θεολογία θα καταλήξει σε ενδιαφέροντα συμπεράσματα για αυτόν τον σημαντικό συγγραφέα. Το έργο προτίθεται να συμπληρώσει ένα βιβλιογραφικό κενό, εφόσον δεν υπάρχει ακόμα έκδοση του Ογδόου Βιβλίου της Ελληνικής Ανθολογίας με λεπτομερή υπομνηματισμό. (Greek)

The purpose of the program is the annotated edition of the epigrams of Gregory the Nazianzenos (in English), i.e. the eighth book of Greek Anthology. The book will include a critical edition, contrasting manuscripts, and a verse commentary in which to explore, among other things, the echoes of ancient poets in epigrams, the use of poetic vocabulary and logos, and the way in which they adapt to their new, Christian context. The general Introduction will refer to Gregory’s biographical data as well as the conditions under which he composed the epigrams on the death of his relatives and friendly persons and will examine issues of language, style, metrics, etc.The systematic study of Gregory’s poetic style and the way in which he combines the phraseology of ancient poetry with theology will come to interesting conclusions for this important author. The project intends to fill a bibliographic gap, since there is not yet a publication of the Eighth Book of Greek Anthology with detailed memo. (English)

Le but du programme est la publication annotée des épigrammes de Grégoire de Nazianzenos (en anglais), c’est-à-dire le huitième livre d’Anthologie grecque. Le livre comprendra une publication critique, des manuscrits contradictoires, et un commentaire par verset dans lequel, entre autres choses, les résonances des poètes anciens dans les épigrammes, l’utilisation du vocabulaire poétique et des logos, et la façon dont ils s’adaptent à leurs nouveaux contextes chrétiens. L’introduction générale fera référence aux éléments biographiques de Grégoire ainsi qu’aux conditions dans lesquelles il a composé les épigrammes pour la mort de parents et de personnes amicales et examinera les questions de langue, de style, de métrique, etc. L’étude systématique du style poétique de Grégoire et la façon dont il combine la phraséologie de la poésie ancienne avec la théologie viendront à des conclusions intéressantes pour cet important écrivain. Le projet vise à combler une lacune bibliographique, puisqu’il n’y a pas encore de publication du huitième livre d’anthropologie grecque avec un mémorandum détaillé. (French)

Ziel des Programms ist die annotierte Veröffentlichung der Epigramme Gregory von Nazianzenos (auf Englisch), d. h. des achten Buches der griechischen Anthologie. Das Buch wird eine kritische Publikation enthalten, die Manuskripte widersprüchlich ist, und Kommentar durch Vers, in dem u. a. die Resonanzen alter Dichter in den Epigrammen, die Verwendung poetischer Vokabular und Logos und die Art und Weise, wie sie sich an ihre neuen christlichen Kontexte anpassen. Die Allgemeine Einführung bezieht sich sowohl auf die biographischen Elemente Gregorys als auch auf die Bedingungen, unter denen er die Epigramme für den Tod von Verwandten und freundlichen Personen komponierte und Fragen der Sprache, Stil, Metrik usw. untersucht. Das systematische Studium des poetischen Stils Gregory und die Art und Weise, wie es die Phraseologie der antiken Poesie mit der Theologie verbindet, wird zu interessanten Schlussfolgerungen für diesen wichtigen Schriftsteller kommen. Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, eine bibliographische Lücke zu schließen, da es noch keine Veröffentlichung des achten Buches der griechischen Anthologie mit einem ausführlichen Memorandum gibt. Het doel van het programma is de geannoteerde publicatie van de epigrammen van Gregory of Nazianzenos (in het Engels), d.w.z. het Achtste boek van de Griekse Anthologie. Het boek bevat een kritische publicatie, tegenstrijdige manuscripten, en commentaar per vers waarin o.a. de resonanties van oude dichters in de epigrammen, het gebruik van poëtische woordenschat en logo’s, en de manier waarop ze zich aanpassen aan hun nieuwe christelijke context. De Algemene Inleiding zal verwijzen naar de biografische elementen van Gregory en de voorwaarden waaronder hij de epigrammen voor de dood van familieleden en vriendelijke personen componeerde en zal kwesties van taal, stijl, metrische, enz. onderzoeken. De systematische studie van de poëtische stijl van Gregory en de manier waarop het de fraseologie van oude poëzie combineert met theologie, zal tot interessante conclusies komen voor deze belangrijke schrijver. Het project is bedoeld om een bibliografische leemte op te vullen, aangezien er nog geen publicatie is van het Achtste Boek van de Griekse Anthologie met een gedetailleerd memorandum. (Dutch)

Lo scopo del programma è la pubblicazione annotata degli epigrammi di Gregorio di Nazianzenos (in inglese), cioè l'ottavo libro di antologia greca. Il libro comprenderà una pubblicazione critica, manoscritti contraddittori, e commento per versi in cui, tra le altre cose, le risonanze dei poeti antichi negli epigrammi, l'uso di vocabolario poetico e loghi, e il modo in cui si adattano ai loro nuovi contesti cristiani. L'Introduzione Generale riferirà agli elementi biografici di Gregorio e alle condizioni in cui ha composto gli epigrammi per la morte di parenti e persone amichevoli ed esaminerà questioni di linguaggio, stile, metrica, ecc. Lo studio sistematico dello stile poetico di Gregorio e il modo in cui combina la fraseologia della poesia antica con la teologia giungeranno a conclusioni interessanti per questo importante scrittore. Il progetto intende colmare una lacuna bibliografica, dal momento che non c'è ancora una pubblicazione dell'ottavo libro di antologia greca con un memorandum dettagliato. (Italian)
