Este projecto pretende apoiar a gestão/crescimento sustentado do mergulho com tubarões/jamantas nos Açores. Combinaremos uma abordagem analítica e experimental, modelação de dados de pescas e telemetria, observação e marcação com tecnologia de ponta. Em parceria com a indústria faremos uma avaliação do potencial de novos locais de mergulho. Finalmente serão propostas medidas de gestão acompanhadas da projecção de impactes socioeconómicos. This project aims to support the sustained management/growth of shark/jamant diving in the Azores. We will combine an analytical and experimental approach, fisheries data modeling and telemetry, observation and marking with state-of-the-art technology. In partnership with the industry we will make an assessment of the potential of new dive sites. Finally, management measures will be proposed together with the projection of socio-economic impacts. Ce projet vise à soutenir la gestion durable/la croissance des requins/jamantas plongeant dans les Açores. Nous allons combiner une approche analytique et expérimentale, la modélisation des données de pêche et la télémétrie, l’observation et le marquage avec une technologie de pointe. En partenariat avec l’industrie, nous procéderons à une évaluation du potentiel de nouveaux sites de plongée. Enfin, des mesures de gestion seront proposées, accompagnées d’une projection des incidences socio-économiques. (French)

Ziel dieses Projekts ist es, das nachhaltige Management/Wachstum von Haien/Jamantas Tauchen auf den Azoren zu unterstützen. Wir werden einen analytischen und experimentellen Ansatz, Fischereidatenmodellierung und Telemetrie, Beobachtung und Kennzeichnung mit modernster Technologie kombinieren. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Branche werden wir das Potenzial neuer Tauchplätze bewerten. Schließlich werden Managementmaßnahmen vorgeschlagen, die von der Projektion der sozioökonomischen Auswirkungen begleitet werden. (German)
