Le Centre National de la Mer - Nausicaa, aquarium et centre de culture scientifique et technique, créé depuis 1991 dispose actuellement de 5000 m3 de bassins d’exposition, héberge 36 000 créatures marines et figure comme un endroit incontournable pour découvrir la faune et la flore du monde marin. Outil de développement économique et vecteur d’attractivité pour le territoire, Nausicaa est également devenu, à l’échelle nationale et internationale, un vecteur essentiel de pédagogie et de faire-valoir reconnu de la connaissance mondiale sur les océans et les grands enjeux à venir qui y sont liés. Afin de conforter ce développement, il convient désormais de renouveler son parcours de visite, d’accroître sa capacité d’accueil et son attractivité. Outre l’amélioration de la médiathèque dans le cadre du Learning center et la rénovation des espaces et bassins existants, le projet d’extension prévoit la création de deux nouveaux pôles d’attraction majeure : - « Au pays des Aurores Polaires », comprenant 4 bassins pour les morses et un bassin pour les manchots, - « Aventure en Haute Mer », plongée dans l’Océan et les abysses autour du plus grand bassin d’Europe de près de 10.000 m3. La construction de ces nouveaux espaces va conduire à un doublement de la superficie de l’équipement (de 25466,58m² à 45995,08 m²) et à un total de 20.000 m3 de bassins contre 5.000m3 aujourd’hui. The National Center of the Sea — Nausicaa, Aquarium and Centre for Scientific and Technical Culture, established since 1991 currently has 5 000 m³ of exhibition ponds, hosts 36,000 marine creatures and is an essential place to discover the fauna and flora of the marine world. A tool for economic development and attractiveness for the territory, Nausicaa has also become, nationally and internationally, an essential vehicle for pedagogy and recognised recognition of global knowledge of the oceans and the major challenges that lie ahead. In order to strengthen this development, it is now necessary to renew its visit path, increase its capacity to welcome and increase its attractiveness. In addition to improving the media library within the framework of the Learning Centre and the renovation of existing spaces and basins, the extension project foresees the creation of two new major attraction poles: — “in the country of the Polar Aurores”, comprising 4 basins for walruses and one basin for penguins, — “Aventure in the High Sea”, diving in the ocean and the abysses around the largest basin in Europe of almost 10.000 m³. The construction of these new spaces will lead to a doubling of the area of the equipment (from 25 466.58 m² to 45 995.08 m²) and to a total of 20.000 m³ of basins compared to 5.000 m³ today. Das seit 1991 gegründete Centre National de la Mer – Nausicaa, Aquarium und Kulturzentrum für Wissenschaft und Technik verfügt derzeit über 5 000 m³ Ausstellungsbecken, beherbergt 36.000 Meerestiere und ist ein Muss, um die Fauna und Flora der Meereswelt zu entdecken. Als Instrument der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung und Attraktivität für das Gebiet ist Nausicaa auch auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene zu einem wichtigen Instrument der Pädagogik und der Anerkennung des weltweiten Wissens über die Ozeane und die damit verbundenen großen Herausforderungen geworden. Um diese Entwicklung zu unterstützen, müssen nun die Besuchswege erneuert, die Aufnahmekapazität und die Attraktivität erhöht werden. Neben der Verbesserung der Mediathek im Rahmen des Learning Centers und der Renovierung bestehender Räume und Becken sieht das Erweiterungsprojekt die Schaffung von zwei neuen Hauptattraktionszentren vor: — „im Land der Polarauroren“, bestehend aus 4 Rissbecken und einem Becken für Pinguine, – „Abenteuer im Hochmeer“, Tauchen in den Ozean und die Abgrund um das größte Becken Europas von fast 10,000 m³. Der Bau dieser neuen Räume führt zu einer Verdopplung der Ausstattungsfläche (von 25 466,58 m² auf 45 995,08 m²) und zu einer Gesamtfläche von 20,000 m³ Becken gegenüber 5,000 m³ heute. (German)

Het Nationaal Centrum van de Zee — Nausicaa, Aquarium en Centrum voor Wetenschappelijke en Technische Cultuur, opgericht sinds 1991 heeft momenteel 5 000 m³ tentoonstellingsvijvers, herbergt 36.000 mariene wezens en is een essentiële plek om de fauna en flora van de mariene wereld te ontdekken. Nausicaa, een instrument voor economische ontwikkeling en aantrekkelijkheid voor het grondgebied, is ook nationaal en internationaal een essentieel instrument geworden voor pedagogie en erkende erkenning van wereldwijde kennis van de oceanen en de grote uitdagingen die voor ons liggen. Om deze ontwikkeling te versterken, is het nu noodzakelijk zijn bezoekpad te vernieuwen, zijn capaciteit te vergroten om de aantrekkingskracht ervan te vergroten. Naast de verbetering van de mediabibliotheek in het kader van het leercentrum en de renovatie van bestaande ruimten en bekkens, voorziet het uitbreidingsproject in de oprichting van twee nieuwe belangrijke attractiecentra: — „in het land van de poolaurores”, bestaande uit 4 bekkens voor walrussen en één bekken voor pinguïns, — „Aventure in the High Sea”, duiken in de oceaan en de afgrond rond het grootste bekken van Europa van bijna 10,000 m³.
