Institut za medicinska istraživanja i medicinu rada (IMI) je vodeća nacionalna institucija u područjima javnog zdravstva i zaštite okoliša s međunarodno priznatim stručnjacima, a pokriva temeljna i primjenjena istraživanja. međutim, postojeća infrastruktura i to u prvom redu prostorna, predstavlja nepremostivu prepreku daljnjem razvoju. osnivanjem i uspostavom predloženoga Centra unutar IMI-ja do punog će izražaja doći njegova multidisciplinarnost te znanstveni, stručni, inovacijski i edukativni aspekti djelatnosti. Het Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (IMI) is een toonaangevende nationale instelling op het gebied van volksgezondheid en milieubescherming met internationaal erkende deskundigen, die zich bezighouden met fundamenteel en toegepast onderzoek. De bestaande infrastructuur, voornamelijk ruimtelijk, vormt echter een onoverkomelijk obstakel voor verdere ontwikkeling. De oprichting en oprichting van het voorgestelde centrum binnen IMI zal volledig tot uiting komen in de multidisciplinaire aard en de wetenschappelijke, professionele, innovatie- en educatieve aspecten van de activiteit.
