Przedmiotem projektu jest rewitalizacja terenu przy budynku głównym szpitala p.w. św. Jerzego w Lubawie należącego do Zgromadzenia Sióstr Miłosierdzia. Dotyczy zagospodarowania otwartej przestrzeni, poprzez budowę miejsc postojowych i jezdni, ścieżek pieszych, małej architektury, zieleni, oświetlenia. Znajduje się na terenie wskazanym do rewitalizacji z uwagi na koncentrację negatywnych zjawisk społecznych zwłaszcza ubóstwa, bezrobocia, przestępczości, niskiego poziomu edukacji oraz obciążenia demograficznego, a także gospodarczych w postaci niskiego stopnia przedsiębiorczości. Wpisuje się w założenia SzOOP RPO WiM 2014-2020, działanie 8.1. Rewitalizacja obszarów miejskich, realizuje 9 cel tematyczny: Promowanie włączenia społecznego, walka z ubóstwem i wszelką dyskryminacją, priorytet inwestycyjny 9b: Wspieranie rewitalizacji fizycznej, gospodarczej i społecznej ubogich społeczności na obszarach miejskich i wiejskich, cel szczegółowy: Lepsza jakość życia społeczności zamieszkujących obszary problemowe. Działanie ukierunkowane jest na nadanie przestrzeni nowych walorów funkcjonalnych i estetycznych, podniesienie atrakcyjności społecznej terenu oraz stworzenie warunków do zrealizowania projektów nieinfrastrukturalnych na rzecz włączenia społecznego, walki z ubóstwem i wszelką dyskryminacją, dla podopiecznych Wspólnoty i mieszkańców miasta. Planowane przedsięwzięcie przyczyni się do poprawy jakości życia społeczności zamieszkującej, przebywającej i użytkującej obszar i otoczenie dawnego szpitala, terenu praktycznie niewykorzystywanego. Zagospodarowanie przestrzeni pod parking i infrastrukturę zieloną rekreacyjno-wypoczynkową spowoduje, że zyska ona nowe funkcje oraz wysoki walor estetyczny w dotychczas zaniedbanej tkance miejskiej Lubawy. Zgromadzenie zyska nową przestrzeń do prowadzenia działalności statutowej i rozszerzenia oferty dla podopiecznych. Osoby te często ze względu na zły stan zdrowia cechuje ubóstwo, podlegają dyskryminacji i wykluczeniu społecznemu. (Polish)

The subject of the project is revitalisation of the area near the main building of St. George in Lubawa, a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy. It concerns the development of open space through the construction of parking spaces and roadways, pedestrian paths, small architecture, greenery and lighting. It is located on the site designated for revitalisation due to the concentration of negative social phenomena, in particular poverty, unemployment, crime, low level of education and demographic and economic burden in the form of low entrepreneurship. It fits into the assumptions of the SzOOP RPO WiM 2014-2020, action 8.1. Revitalisation of urban areas, pursues 9 thematic objective: Promoting social inclusion, combating poverty and all discrimination, investment priority 9b: Supporting the physical, economic and social regeneration of poor communities in urban and rural areas, specific objective: Better quality of life for communities living in problem areas. The action is aimed at providing space for new functional and aesthetic assets, increasing the social attractiveness of the area and creating the conditions for implementing non-infrastructural projects for social inclusion, combating poverty and all discrimination, for Community and urban residents. The planned project will contribute to improving the quality of life of the community inhabiting, living and using the area and surroundings of the former hospital, which is practically unused. The development of space under the parking lot and green recreational infrastructure will result in it gaining new functions and high aesthetic value in the previously neglected urban tissue of Lubawa. The Assembly will gain a new space to carry out statutory activities and extend the offer for clients. They often suffer from poor health and are subject to discrimination and social exclusion.
