LA PRESENTE SOLICITUD ES LA CONTINUACION DEL PROYECTO HAR2009-08600, AUNQUE AMPLIADO. LAS INVESTIGACIONES MULTIDISCIPLINARES LLEVADAS A CABO DURANTE LOS ULTIMOS CINCO AÑOS (2008-2013) EN EL COMPLEJO FUNERARIO Nº 33 DE LA NECROPOLIS DE QUBBET EL-HAWA (ASUAN, EGIPTO) HAN PERMITIDO DESCUBRIR, DOCUMENTAR Y ESTUDIAR LOS ENTERRAMIENTOS DE LA ELITE DE FINALES DE LA DINASTIA XII (1800 A. C., APROXIMANDAMENTE) EN LA PROVINCIA DE ELEFANTINA . EN EL PRESENTE PROYECTO, SE PROPONE CONTINUAR CON LAS INVESTIGACIONES DE LOS POZOS FUNERARIOS DE DOS GRANDES COMPLEJOS QUE FUERON CONSTRUIDOS POR SARENPUT I (QH36) Y SEARENPUT II (QH31). LA EXPLORACION PRELIMINAR DE LOS POZOS FUNERARIOS DE ESTE ULTIMO INDICAN QUE LAS CAMARAS DE ENTERRAMIENTO SE ENCUENTRAN INTACTAS, LO QUE PERMITIRIA SU COMPARACION CON AQUELLAS DESCUBIERTAS RECIENTEMENTE EN LA QH33. LA EXCAVACION ARQUEOLOGICA SERIA COMPLETADA CON ANALISIS Y ESTUDIOS MUTIDISCIPLINARES QUE APORTASEN LA MAYOR INFORMACION POSIBLE, ASI COMO CON LABORES DE CONSERVACION DEL MATERIAL MUEBLE E INMUEBLE DEL YACIMIENTO. A PARTIR DE LOS DATOS OBTENIDOS SE ABORDARA LA RECONSTRUCCION HISTORICA DEL FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA ADMINISTRACION PROVINCIAL EN LA FRONTERA SUR DE EGIPTO DURANTE UNO DE LOS PERIODOS (REINO MEDIO, 1950-1775 A. C.)EN LOS QUE TUVO UN MAYOR PROTAGONISMO . PARALELAMENTE, SE CONTINUARA CON LA TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL DE LAS FUENTES DOCUMENTALES APARECIDAS EN LA REGION: JEROGLIFICAS, ARAMEAS Y GRIEGAS, DE TAL FORMA QUE SE DISPONGA DE UN APARATO DE REFERENCIAS PARA SU CONTEXTUALIZACION HISTORICA. LA INTERVENCION ARQUEOLOGICA IRIA ACOMPAÑADA DE LA SEGUNDA FASE DE LA PUESTA EN VALOR DEL YACIMIENTO, QUE SE CONCENTRARIA EN LA EXHIBICION COMO HERRAMIENTA DE APRENDIZAJE DE LAS TUMBAS ABIERTAS AL PUBLICO. SE PRETENDE EXPLOTAR ESTE SITIO ARQUEOLOGICO DENTRO DE UN CONTEXTO REGIONAL DE PARQUE FLUVIAL EN EL QUE EL NILO, EN SU ENTORNO DE LA PRIMERA CATARATA, SE CONVERTIRIA EN LA VIA DE COMUNICACION ENTRE ESPACIOS NATURALES Y CULTURALES. THIS APPLICATION IS THE CONTINUATION OF PROJECT HAR2009-08600, ALTHOUGH EXTENDED. MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH CARRIED OUT OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS (2008-2013) AT THE NO. 33 FUNERAL COMPLEX OF THE NECROPOLIS OF QUBBET EL-HAWA (ASUAN, EGYPT) HAS MADE IT POSSIBLE TO DISCOVER, DOCUMENT AND STUDY THE BURIALS OF THE ELITE AT THE END OF THE XII DYNASTY (1800 BC, APPROXIMATELY) IN THE PROVINCE OF ELEFANTINA. IN THE PRESENT PROJECT, IT IS PROPOSED TO CONTINUE RESEARCH INTO THE FUNERARY WELLS OF TWO LARGE COMPLEXES THAT WERE BUILT BY SARENPUT I (QH36) AND SEARENPUT II (QH31). PRELIMINARY EXPLORATION OF THE FUNERAL WELLS OF THE LATTER INDICATE THAT THE BURIAL CHAMBERS ARE INTACT, WHICH WOULD ALLOW THEIR COMPARISON TO THOSE RECENTLY DISCOVERED IN QH33. THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATION WOULD BE COMPLETED WITH ANALYSIS AND STUDIES MUTIDISCIPLINARES THAT WOULD PROVIDE AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE, AS WELL AS WITH CONSERVATION OF THE MOVABLE AND IMMOVABLE MATERIAL OF THE SITE. BASED ON THE DATA OBTAINED, THE HISTORICAL RECONSTRUCTION OF THE FUNCTIONING OF THE PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATION ON THE SOUTHERN BORDER OF EGYPT DURING ONE OF THE PERIODS (MIDDLE KINGDOM, 1950-1775 B.C.) IN WHICH IT PLAYED A MAJOR ROLE. AT THE SAME TIME, THE SPANISH TRANSLATION OF THE DOCUMENTARY SOURCES APPEARED IN THE REGION WILL CONTINUE: JEROGLYPHS, ARAMAIC AND GREEK, IN SUCH A WAY THAT A REFERENCE APPARATUS IS AVAILABLE FOR HISTORICAL CONTEXTUALISATION. THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL INTERVENTION IRIA ACCOMPANIED BY THE SECOND PHASE OF THE VALORISATION OF THE SITE, WHICH WOULD CONCENTRATE ON THE EXHIBITION AS A TOOL FOR LEARNING THE TOMBS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. IT IS INTENDED TO EXPLOIT THIS ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE WITHIN A REGIONAL CONTEXT OF RIVER PARK IN WHICH THE NILE, IN ITS SURROUNDINGS OF THE FIRST WATERFALL, WOULD BECOME THE WAY OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN NATURAL AND CULTURAL SPACES.
