La actuación pretende transformar la movilidad de la zona de actuación para conseguir un modelo de ciudad sostenible, generando una verdadera trama urbana y rural, que permita salvar las dificultades físicas existentes, en el conjunto de Anaga estableciendo vías y vínculos que conecten Anaga con el resto de la ciudad. Para ello se ampliará y mejorará el carril bici en el tramo que discurre desde la estación de cruceros hasta la cementera de San Andrés con el objeto de enlazar con el tramo que va a ejecutar el Cabildo Insular de Tenerife desde la cementera hasta la Playa de Las Teresitas._x000D_ Las principales mejoras a acometer será la de ampliar la plataforma destinada al uso de la bicicleta, colocación de señalética, colocación de pavimento fijador de carbono y, en general, todas aquellas que fomenten y faciliten el uso de la bicicleta como alternativa de transporte al uso del vehículo particular en la vía que da acceso al pueblo de San Andrés y a la Playa de Las Teresitas de gran afluencia durante todo el año con un incremento de uso significativo en la época estival._x000D_ Se espera que la ampliación de la plataforma y la mejora del actual carril bici completándolo con los tramos que actualmente no existen disminuya la problemática que presenta actualmente a efectos de seguridad vial y comodidad, fomentándose de manera definitiva el uso de la bicicleta como alternativa de transporte al vehículo particular en la vía de referencia generando con ello un significativo descenso en las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y, en particular de CO2 además de fomentar el ejercicio físico y un modelo de transporte saludable para los usuarios del carril bici._x000D_ Se espera lograr un impacto significativo en el número de usuarios de este tipo de transporte al mejorar significativamente la infraestructura existente actualmente facilitando y mejorando su uso.
