The XLIM laboratory team working on optical sources and medical diagnosis has developed an optical exposure system to test receptors placed on cell membranes. It plans to continue this work by finalising a prototype of a coherent multibeam source feeding a cell culture system. This scheme concerns the markets of genetic biology research laboratories and, more specifically, the instrumentation related to the study of genetically modified living organisms and sensitive to optical radiation. This technology called “optogenetics” finds applications in brain control by stimulating precise areas and neurons._x000D_ (English)
