Le projet d'interconnexion, rentre dans le cadre du programme lancé par le SIEAM et les services de l'Etat de sécurisation de la ressource en eau pour pouvoir anticiper et prévenir le risque de pénurie d'eau sur l'ensemble des zones urbaines de l'Ile. Cette sécurisation passe notamment par le besoin de création d'une interconnexion entre les 2 retenues collinéaires et l'UPEP de l'Ourovéni et de DZOUMOGNE pour pallier temporairement à d'éventuels dysfonctionnements de l'une ou l'autre retenue. Cette connexion donnera la possibilité de transférer de l'eau brute captée des retenues colinéaires vers l'usine d'Ourovéni ou l'usine de Bouyouni). Ce transfert d'eau brute permettra de pallier un éventuel manque d'eau ou pollution ponctuelle de l'une des deux retenues colinéaires, sites majeurs pour le système global d'alimentation AEP de l'île. The interconnection project is part of the programme launched by SIEAM and the State water security services in order to anticipate and prevent the risk of water shortages in all the urban areas of the island. This security requires, in particular, the need to create an interconnection between the two collinear restraints and the UPEP of Ouroven and Dzoumogne in order to temporarily compensate for any malfunctions of one or the other restraint. This connection will give the possibility to transfer raw water collected from the colineal retains to the Urovenian plant or the Bouyouni plant). This raw water transfer will make it possible to compensate for any water shortage or point pollution of one of the two colineal reservoirs, major sites for the island’s overall PEA feeding system.
