Le projet présenté par Le Mans Métropole consiste à réaménager les rues des Corbières et du Cantal, situées dans le quartier prioritaire des Sablons, à travers la rénovation des voies de circulation, la requalification d’espaces verts, le développement des espaces pour les piétons et la rénovation de l'éclairage public. Ce projet constitue une amélioration physique de l’espace public et participe ainsi à l’amélioration du cadre de vie des habitants du quartier. Elle s’inscrit donc pleinement dans l’enjeu européen consistant à améliorer les conditions de vie des habitants des communautés défavorisées pour ainsi réduire les inégalités constatées mais également rendre ces quartiers plus attractifs pour l’accueil de nouveaux habitants. The project presented by Le Mans Métropole consists of rehabilitating the streets of Corbières and Cantal, located in the priority area of the Sablons, through the renovation of traffic lanes, the requalification of green spaces, the development of pedestrian spaces and the renovation of public lighting. This project is a physical improvement of the public space and thus contributes to the improvement of the living environment of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood. It is therefore fully in line with the European challenge of improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of disadvantaged communities in order to reduce the inequalities observed, but also to make these neighbourhoods more attractive for the reception of new inhabitants.
