Hankkeella pyritään verifioimaan ja toteuttamaan vartioimattomien tasoristeyksien huomiolaitteen turvallisuusluokitus rautateillä vaadittavaan SIL-luokkaan. Laitteelta vaaditaan hallinnalliset dokumentit liittyen laatuun, turvallisuuteen ja komponentteihin. Laitteen systeemisuunnittelu, arkkitehtuurikuvaus ja turva- ja vikatestaus. Elektroniikasta ja ohjelmistoista pitää olla tarkat suunnitteludokumentit. Lopputuloksena laitteen myynti ja markkinointi ulkomaille on mahdollista aloittaa, koska muualla Euroopassa vaatimuksena on SIL-luokitus rautatieympäristössä. (Finnish)

The aim of the project is to verify and implement the safety classification of the signalling equipment for unattended level crossings to the required SIL class on railways. The equipment is required to provide administrative documentation relating to quality, safety and components. System design, architecture description and security and fault testing of the device. Electronics and software must have accurate design documents. As a result, it is possible to start selling and marketing the equipment abroad, because in other parts of Europe the SIL classification is required in the railway environment. (English)
