Les ateliers d'insertion au même titre que les autres structures de l'insertion par l'activité économique (IAE) doivent assurés 5 grandes missions \- Employeur -production \- Accompagnement \- formation \- Développement local et partenariale Ils relèvent de la loi n°98-657 du 29 juillet 1998 d'orientation relative à la lutte contre les exclusions et la loi n°2005-32 de programmation pour la cohésion sociale mais sont plus particulièrement encadrés par la circulaire DGEFP n°2008-21 du 10 décembre 2008 relative aux nouvelles modalités de conventionnement des structure de l'IAE. C'est un dispositif qui associe dans la même démarche une mise en situation de travail, une action pédagogique, de formation et d'accompagnement individualisé. Il a pour objectif l'insertion sociale et la recherche des conditions d'une insertion durable des personnes le plus éloignées de l'emploi à travers leur mise au travail. Il constitue une première étape dans un parcours vers la qualification et l'emploi. Le chantier d'insertion fait partie des outils dont le faible seuil d'exigence permet l'accueil des publics très éloignés de l'emploi cumulant des difficultés sociales et professionnelles. Le travail de réinsertion effectué dans les ateliers allié dans une démarche l'acquisition d'un savoir faire mais aussi d'un savoir être sans exiger des prérequis importants. (French)

Integration workshops in the same way as the other structures of integration through economic activity (IAE) must carry out 5 main tasks \- Employer — production \- Support \- Training \- Local and partnership development They are covered by Law No 98-657 of 29 July 1998 on guidance on the fight against exclusions and Act No 2005-32 on programming for social cohesion, but are more specifically governed by Circular DGEFP No 2008-21 of 10 December 2008 on the new arrangements for agreeing the structures of the EIA. It is a mechanism that combines in the same process a work situation, pedagogical action, training and individualised support. It aims at social inclusion and the search for conditions for the sustainable integration of those furthest from employment through their entry to work. It is a first step in a path towards qualification and employment. The integration site is one of the tools whose low threshold allows the reception of those who are very remote from employment with social and occupational difficulties. The reintegration work carried out in the workshops combined with the acquisition of know-how but also knowledge being without requiring important prerequisites. (English)
