On 1 January 2014, the Grande-Terre North Agglomeration Community was established. It brings together the 5 municipalities of the North Grande Terre i.e., Anse-Bertrand, Morne-à-l’Eau, Moule, Petit-Canal and Port-Louis. Several competences initially managed by the municipalities were transferred to CANGT, including the management of the Urban Displacement Plan. This means that the CANGT will develop a local Urban Intercommunal Plan (PLUI). It is therefore, in this context, that CANGT has decided to undertake studies to develop the urban displacement plan for its territory. It is a comprehensive planning tool that governs the organisation of passenger and freight transport, traffic and parking and aims to improve the living environment within the urban transport perimeter. All types of transport are concerned (persons, goods) and all modes of travel (individual and collective, motorised or not) within the territorial jurisdiction of the Organising Authority for Mobility.
