AMADA Europe est une filiale du groupe japonais AMADA. La spécialité de son établissement de Charleville-Mézières est la conception et la fabrication de machines-outils pour le travail de feuilles métalliques. Leurs produits, fabriqués en série, se situent plutôt dans le haut de gamme. Le projet LST-e vise à changer en profondeur la conception des machines fabriquées sur le site. Il porte sur un élément fondamental de ces machines : le système de chargement/déchargement ; l’objectif du projet est de remplacer les systèmes actuels par des machines à entraînement 100 % électrique (sans huile hydraulique), sans lubrifiant et à rendement élevé. Les principaux verrous à lever concernent la suppression de lubrifiant dans la transmission mécanique (de type vis-écrou), compte tenu des masses mises en jeu et des dynamiques à atteindre (tribologie, tenue mécanique sous charge élevée) et la mise au point d’un asservissement adapté. Il s’agira en particulier d’identifier les matériaux métalliques (avec, le cas échéant, des traitements de surface adaptés) permettant d’atteindre les performances visées pour la nouvelle transmission. Ce projet s’inscrit dans le cadre d’un renforcement des activités du site : développement des activités de R&D (à ce jour très limitées), construction de nouveaux bâtiments, renouvellement des gammes de machines… Les lignes de fabrication tournant actuellement à pleine capacité, le projet LST-e pourrait permettre la création de 3 postes supplémentaires (French)

Amada Europe is a subsidiary of the Japanese group AMADA. The specialty of its establishment in Charleville-Mézières is the design and manufacture of machine tools for working metal sheets. Their products, manufactured in series, are rather in the top of the range. The LST-e project aims to radically change the design of the machines manufactured on the site. It deals with a fundamental element of these machines: loading/unloading system; the objective of the project is to replace the current systems with 100 % electric drive machines (without hydraulic oil), without lubricants and with high efficiency. The main locks to be lifted concern the removal of lubricant in the mechanical transmission (screw nut type), taking into account the masses involved and the dynamics to be achieved (tribology, mechanical hold under high load) and the development of an appropriate bonding. In particular, the identification of metallic materials (with, where appropriate, suitable surface treatments) to achieve the intended performance for the new transmission. This project is part of a strengthening of the site’s activities: development of R & amp D activities (to date very limited), construction of new buildings, renewal of machine ranges... Manufacturing lines currently running at full capacity, the LST-e project could allow the creation of 3 additional jobs (English)
