(Spanish)

Research on a desalination method: bioremediation, which through the use of nanobacteria and other microorganisms (fungi, algae) allows the effective and definitive elimination of the soluble salts present inside building materials._x000D_ Within the thousands of bacteria and microorganisms that exist in the environment and are safe for humans and the environment, BIO-CLEANNING will focus on identifying those with higher desalination rates. To this end, tests will be carried out on different types of previously saturated stone materials with the most common soluble salts on the heritage, while validating the non-destructive techniques that make it possible to monitor desalination. Finally, the technology developed for industrial use will be optimised. (English)
