Melcart whose main objective is to overcome the technical limitations described above for the movement and handling of large stainless steel coils through the experimental development of new self-guided pilot vehicles (AGV’s), integrated by a Basic Logistics System (SLB) and a series of digital technologies for their guidance both indoors and outdoors, equipped with artificial intelligence systems capable of making decisions in relation to unprogrammed objects or situations. In addition, the new pilot devices will have an ultra-fast electrical battery change system and connectivity measures with management systems, with the collaboration of TECNALIA RESEARCH INNOVATION, hereinafter TECNALIA, and UNIVERSIDAD CARLOS III DE MADRID, hereinafter UC3M (English)
