    Se pretende adquirir un Microscopio Electrónico de Barrido para sustituir al actualmente existente en la Universidad de Huelva. Dicho equipo, ubicado en el edificio Marie Curie, ya se ha quedado obsoleto dado que fue adquirido en 1996 y ha estado prestando servicio de forma ininterrumpida desde entonces tanto a los miembros del equipo solicitante como al resto de usuarios de la UHU así como de otras OPIS y empresas del entorno._x000D_ El Microscopio Electrónico de Barrido es un equipo fundamental para la caracterización morfológica y química de todas las matrices sólidas que son objeto de investigación del grupo solicitante (así como del resto de grupos que apoyan la propuesta) y que se pueden agrupar en dos grandes líneas de investigación: 1) El drenaje ácido de mina resultante de la oxidación superficial de los residuos mineros en la Faja Pirítica Ibérica, y 2) La contaminación asociada a los fosfoyesos procedentes de la producción de ácido fosfórico en el Polo Químico de Huelva que ocupan 1200 ha de extensión y contiene unos 120 Mt de fosfoyeso sobre las marismas saladas del río Tinto._x000D_ El impacto científico-técnico que se espera obtener es mantener o aumentar la producción científica y de patentes de los grupos solicitantes, así como contribuir a la generación y aplicación de conocimiento en numerosas líneas de investigación que se están desarrollando en la UHU de gran relevancia desde el punto de vista socio-económico, lo que tendrá un probado efecto positivo en Andalucía. This team, located in the Marie Curie building, has become obsolete since it was acquired in 1996 and has since been providing uninterrupted service to both the members of the requesting team and the rest of the UHU users as well as other OPIS and other companies in the environment._x000D_ The Sweeping Electronic Microscope is a key team for the morphological and chemical characterisation of all the solid matrices that are the subject of research by the applicant group (as well as the other groups supporting the proposal) and which can be grouped into two main lines of research: 1) The acid drainage of mine resulting from the surface oxidation of the mining residues in the Iberian Pyritic Strip, and 2) The pollution associated with the phosphorus from the production of phosphoric acid in the Chemical Pole of Huelva that occupy 1 200 ha and contains about 120 Mt of phosphoyeso on the salt marshes of the Tinto river._x000D_ The scientific-technical impact that is expected to obtain is to maintain or increase the scientific and patent production of the applicant groups, as well as to contribute to the generation and application of knowledge in numerous lines of research that are being developed in the UHU of great relevance from the point of view of Andalusia.
