    El objetivo principal será determinar si los péptidos intestinales principalmente GLP-1 y GLP-2 y el GIP, así como la enzima encargada de su metabolización la DPP-4 se relacionan con la osteoporosis. Otros objetivos secundarios serán analizar otros péptidos intestinales: péptido YY, amilina, y su asociación con la osteoporosis, y conocer si los parámetros sanguíneos que intervienen en el remodelado óseo se relacionan con la osteoporosis y con los péptidos intestinales GLP-1, GLP-2, GIP, péptido YY, amilina y la enzima DPP-4. Métodos: Estudio de casos y controles. El tamaño de muestra estimado ha sido de 55 casos y 55 controles emparejados por edad (± 1 año) y sexo. Los casos serán pacientes diagnosticados de osteoporosis mediante densitometría. Los controles serán personas sanas sin osteoporosis (se les realizará densitometría) ni antecedentes de fracturas. Para ambos grupos se definen criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se realizarán determinaciones de: GLP-1, GLP-2, GIP, amilina y péptido YY, así como la DPP-4. Otras variables a estudiar son parámetros antropométricos (peso, talla, IMC), análisis de compartimentos corporales mediante impedanciometría, así como parámetros de remodelado óseo : osteocalcina, CTX-beta cross laps, propéptido aminoterminal del procolágeno, y otros de metabolismo óseo: calcio, fósforo, vitamina D y PTH. En el análisis estadístico, se utilizará la comparación de medias. En el multivariable se utilizarán modelos de regresión lineal. Se calcularán medias ajustadas mediante el análisis de covarianza ajustando por los posibles factores de confusión. (Spanish)

Methods: Case study and controls. The estimated sample size was 55 cases and 55 controls matched by age (± 1 year) and sex. The cases will be diagnosed with osteoporosis by densitometry. The controls will be healthy people without osteoporosis (they will have densitometry) or a history of fractures. Inclusion and exclusion criteria are defined for both groups. Determinations shall be made of: GLP-1, GLP-2, GIP, amylin and YY peptide, as well as DPP-4. Other variables to be studied include anthropometric parameters (weight, size, BMI), analysis of body compartments by impedanciometry, as well as bone remodeling parameters: osteocalcin, CTX-beta cross laps, procolagen aminoterminal propeptide, and others of bone metabolism: calcium, phosphorus, vitamin D and PTH. In the statistical analysis, the average comparison shall be used. Linear regression models shall be used in the multivariate. Adjusted averages shall be calculated using the covariance analysis by adjusting for possible confounding factors. (English)
