(Spanish)

The objective of the study is to evaluate the safety, efficacy and tolerance of transplantation of an Advanced Therapy Medicine (ATMP). It is a single dose of adult stem cells derived from autologous adipose mesenchymal tissue (ADAS), cellularised in laminates for subjects with cornea defects. 3 groups will be included in the study: (1) ADAS transplantation only without support, (2) support transplant (decellularised human corneal sheet) without ADAS, and (3) ADAS transplant in support (human corneal decellularised sheet). For this purpose we propose the development of a multicenter clinical study in which the different clinical centers of the Thematic Network of Cooperative Research in OFTARED Ophthalmology, recruit patients with corneal dystrophy of any type, especially keratoconus. These patients will have liposuction surgery and the extrate of liposuction will be sent to CABIMER. This CABIMER centre prepares the ADAS cell concentrate from lipoaspirate under BPF (Good Manufacturing Practice) conditions and deposits these ADAS cells in a support prepared by the same center from a decellularised human cornea from an eye tissue bank. Once the ADAS set and support is ready, the whole will be sent to the OFTARED clinical center that will be responsible for implanting it in the corneal stromal of the affected patient. Patients will have clinical follow-up up to 12 months after surgery with regular checkups. (English)
