The challenge of this project is to develop a new superinjection technology capable of decorating interior components of the vehicle with leather and cork finishes that can be industrially scalable. The new decoration technology should be able to be applied to any part of the interior of the vehicle in a versatile, robust, efficient and economically viable way._x000D_ _x000D_ This general objective is perfectly aligned with one of the main lines of action defined by MAIER and set out in its 2013-2016 Technological Plan: Continue with the focus “translation of aesthetics into technologies”. In this sense, the strategy of MAIER FERROPLAST, is to position itself internationally as a benchmark in the current trend of finishes in sustainable materials, such as leather and cork._x000D_ _x000D_ For this, MAIER FERROPLAST will develop components for vehicle interiors based on Natural Materials (leather and cork) that meet the requirements of resistance, quality and response times demanded by automotive OEMs (light resistance, thermal resistance, moisture resistance, microorganism growth, etc.). by means of innovative, industrially and economically cost-effective scalable technology.
