The general objective of this project is to identify genes/NPS that are associated with Combined Family Hyperlipidemia in order to define a genetic score with diagnostic or predictive utility. For this purpose, as secondary objectives, the aim is to identify the genes/NPS specific to the cardiovascular risk factors that are very characteristic of this entity: hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridaemia, hypertension and obesity, and identify the specific genes/NPSs, and the potential interactions between them that are associated with the presence of Combined Family Hyperlipemia. The proposed methodology is to determine using OpenArray technology different SNPs that have been demonstrated in different GWA studies that are associated with the following cardiovascular risk factors: hyperlipemia, hypertension and obesity, in 5 groups of subjects: 1000 subjects with combined family hyperlipidemia, 1000 subjects with high blood pressure, 1000 subjects with obesity, 1000 healthy control subjects and 1000 subjects from the general population. With the results obtained, the statistical analysis will be performed to analyse association, interaction, and predictive capacity and thus define a genetic score of Combined Family Hyperlipemia that improves the diagnosis of this hyperlipemia.
