El Ayuntamiento de Lleida determinó su apuesta estratégica con la creación, junto a la Universidad de Lleida, del Parque Científico y Tecnológico Agroalimentario de Lleida en 2005. Esta apuesta fija unos valores claros hacia la innovación, la calidad, la especialización, el dinamismo y el prestigio científico y académico, con el objetivo de dinamizar la actividad económica e incrementar la competitividad del tejido empresarial. El Parque Científico pone a disposición de empresas de base tecnológica, de empresas de reciente creación, de grupos de investigación y de otros actores de la economía, especialmente del sector agroalimentario, diversas infraestructuras: oficina de gestión, edificio científico, edificio tecnológico y de transferencia de tecnología, edificio TIC, 4 incubadoras de empresas, el edificio CeDiCo de servicios centrales, todos ellos en el Turó de Gardeny y, además en otros enclaves del Arboretum, la sede del Inst. Investigación Agrotecnio, y la sede del Inst. Investigación Biomédica de Lleida. El paso de tiempo ha confirmado que se trataba de una apuesta acertada y ha permitido detectar carencias y necesidades en el sistema de sinergias que requiere la transferencia tecnológica y la innovación. La convocatoria de los Proyectos de Especialización y Competitividad Territorial se confirma como una oportunidad perfecta para modernizar el sistema aplicado e implantar su modernización enfocada al futuro, promoviendo la creación de un ecosistema de innovación permanente al servicio del sector agroalimentario, determinado por los agentes de la cuádruple hélice. Esta operación recoge la adecuación de un espacio dedicado a la aplicación práctica de la innovación al servicio de las empresas, la dinamización de todo el ecosistema creado por el proyecto, la determinación de una identidad que permita su potenciación (marca) y el impulso de un servicio de vanguardia tecnológica para las empresas basado en ¿el internet de las cosas¿, aplicado sector agroalimentario (Spanish)

The City Council of Lleida stablished its essential strategic commitment for the agrifood sector with the creation of the Agrifood Scientific and Technological Park of Lleida (PCiTAL) in 2005, together with the University of Lleida. This commitment sets clear values towards innovation, quality, specialization, dynamism and scientific and academic prestige, with the aim of boosting economic activity and increasing the competitiveness of Lleida's business industry, especially in the agrifood sector. Through the Scientific Park (PCiTAL), technology-based companies, newly created companies, research groups and other actors from the Lleida economy, especially in the agrifood sector, are offered a series of infrastructures designed to promote scientific, technological and business knowledge: a management office, a scientific building, a technological building, technology transfer service, a TIC building, 4 incubators for companies (all based in Turó de Gardeny), as well as the Arborètum (botanical garden), the headquarters of the Agrotecnio Research Institute and the headquarters of the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida. The PECT-ERDF call has become the opportunity to revise and re-promote the proposal of the Lleida City Council to the service of the economic sector of the territory (city and counties). And therefore, to lead this project of ecosystem of permanent innovation to the service of the agrifood sector that will allow the creation of synergies among the agents prominent in the agrifood sector identified by the so-called four-helix. This operation includes the designing/adaptation of a space for the practical application of innovation at the service of companies; the dynamisation of the ecosystem; the creation of an identity that allows its empowerment (brand); and the offer of a technological avant-garde service for companies (IOT applied to the agrifood sector) Objectives: - To offer suitable and quality spaces to the actors of the ecosystem in order to develop proposals and generate projects; to highlight the competitive advantage that implies the implementation of these actions in the Scientific Park. - To promote the dynamization and projection of the ecosystem of innovation among all the actors of the agri-food sector, with more emphasis in those which are not connected at this time, taking advantage of spaces, taking advantage of technological proposals, for instance. - To create mechanisms for collaboration and exchange between PECT operations, mobilizing the agents involved. - To promote the identification and respect for the territory, their people, their economic specialization with human dimensions, of all the actors and all the people of the territory, generating attractiveness and acting on the potentialities - To promote the implementation of the connected industry 4.0 in the agri-food field and develop concept tests that allow to validate quickly different technological solutions to be implemented by companies in the sector. ACTIONS: 4.1 Agrolivinglab space Adaptation of the AGROLIVINGLAB space to put it to the service of the innovative ecosystem (former building of military barracks in Gardeny hill, Lleida). The action focuses on the restoration of the ¿Capitania¿ building (based in the Scientific Park) through the appropriate executive project contests, work direction and arrangement works. The restored space will be 2,416 m2 useful, of which 1.000,00 m2 will be devoted to common spaces and ecosystem management, and 1,416 m2 will be assigned with a licence through an open public process to technology companies. The common spaces will gather offices, stairs, meeting rooms, rooms for future laboratories ...
