LAS TECNICAS ACTUALES DE GENERACION DE UN MODELO MEF A PARTIR DE LA IM NO ESTAN COMPLETAMENTE AUTOMATIZADAS Y SUELEN REQUERIR LA PARTICIPACION DE ESPECIALISTAS DEL CAMPO MEDICO EN EL PROCESO DE SEGMENTACION DE LA IMAGEN EN QUE SE IDENTIFICAN LOS DIFERENTES ORGANOS REPRESENTADOS, LO QUE LIMITA NOTABLEMENTE SU USO. _x000D_ _x000D_ ESTE PROYECTO PRETENDE DESARROLLAR UNA HERRAMIENTA DE ANALISIS BASADA EN EL MEF QUE PERMITA LA SIMULACION DEL CONJUNTO PROTESIS-HUESO, UTILIZANDO MODELOS DE ELEMENTOS FINITOS (EF) ¿PATIENT-SPECIFIC¿ OBTENIDOS DIRECTAMENTE A PARTIR DE LAS IM DEL PACIENTE, A FIN DE DETERMINAR A TRAVES DE UN ANALISIS PERSONALIZADO LA PROTESIS A IMPLANTAR QUE RESULTE MAS ADECUADA._x000D_ _x000D_ LA OBTENCION DIRECTA DEL MODELO MEF A PARTIR DE LA IM SE LOGRA EMBEBIENDOLA DENTRO DE UNA MALLA CARTESIANA DE EF DE ESTRUCTURA DE DATOS JERARQUICA QUE SIMPLIFICA EL REFINAMIENTO DE LA MALLA Y ACELERA EL CALCULO. EL PROCESO ASIGNA A CADA UNO DE LOS VOXELS CONTENIDOS EN CADA EF PROPIEDADES DE MATERIAL EN FUNCION DEL NIVEL DE COLOR DEL VOXEL, QUE SERAN LUEGO CONSIDERADAS EN LA GENERACION DEL MODELO NUMERICO. EL PROCEDIMIENTO PERMITE QUE DENTRO DE UN EF COEXISTAN UNA ZONA DE VOXELS DE LA IM Y OTRA CORRESPONDIENTE A UN SOLIDO DEFINIDO POR UNA SUPERFICIE DE CAD, CON DIFERENTES PROPIEDADES DEL MATERIAL EN CADA ZONA. ASI, LA HERRAMIENTA DISPONDRA DE ALGORITMOS DE OPTIMIZACION DE FORMA BASADOS EN INFORMACION DEL GRADIENTE DE LA RESPUESTA ESTRUCTURAL EVALUADO A TRAVES DE TECNICAS DE ANALISIS DE SENSIBILIDADES ADAPTADAS AL USO DE MALLAS CARTESIANAS. _x000D_ _x000D_ PARA VALIDAR LA HERRAMIENTA, ESTA SE USARA EN EL ESTUDIO DE IMPLANTES DENTALES DE CARGA INMEDIATA QUE PERMITEN LLEVAR DIENTES FIJOS SOBRE LOS IMPLANTES INMEDIATAMENTE DESPUES DE SU COLOCACION. DADO QUE NO EXISTEN CRITERIOS RIGUROSOS PARA ESTABLECER SI ES IDONEO COLOCAR ESTOS IMPLANTES, LA HERRAMIENTA PERMITIRA AYUDAR A ESTABLECER ESTOS CRITERIOS, A DETERMINAR LA INFLUENCIA DE LAS CARACTERISTICAS GEOMETRICAS DEL IMPLANTE EN LA CAPACIDAD DE TRANSMISION DE CARGA DEL CONJUNTO HUESO-IMPLANTE E INCLUSO A DETERMINAR LA GEOMETRIA IDONEA DE ESTOS IMPLANTES EN CADA PACIENTE.
