El objetivo de la operación es contar con una estación completa de Control y Vigilancia de la Calidad del Aire, llevando a cabo el análisis y seguimiento de todas las sustancias reconocidas en la legislación vigente como sustancias contaminantes de la atmósfera, propiciando la aplicación de la legislación vigente en la materia, teniendo como fin último poseer un amplio conocimiento del comportamiento y la calidad de nuestra atmósfera que permita elaborar un Plan de mejora de la Calidad del Aire adaptado a las necesidades concretas del territorio, así como poner en marcha un sistema de indicadores de calidad atmosférica que permita informar a la población en tiempo real sobre el estado de la calidad del aire que respira.
