El objetivo general es dotar a la ULE con un equipo de Tomografía Axial Computarizada (TAC). El TAC es una herramienta fundamental en el análisis por imagen de tejidos y estructuras anatómicas. Para el desarrollo de la investigación en las ciencias veterinarias y, por consiguiente, en los campos de la biomedicina que utilizan modelos animales, contar con un TAC como el propuesto en esta solicitud es una herramienta indispensable. El equipo será emplazado en el Hospital Clínico Veterinario de la Universidad de León que cuenta con unas instalaciones adecuadas y un personal cualificado para su utilización y gestión. El equipo pretende dar soporte a todos los grupos de investigación de la Universidad de León que requieran el análisis de imagen para desarrollar sus proyectos y potenciar así sus líneas de investigación en modelos animales. También se contempla que empresas interesadas puedan disponer de este equipo mediante acuerdos con la Universidad a través de los grupos de investigación para la transferencia del conocimiento universidad-empresa. The objective is to provide the ULE with a Computerized Axial Tomography (CT) equipment. CT is a fundamental tool in the analysis by image of tissues and anatomical structures. A CT is an indispensable tool for the development of research in the veterinary sciences and in the fields of biomedicine that use animal models. The equipment will be located in the Veterinary Clinical Hospital of the University of León, which has adequate facilities and a qualified staff for its use and management. The team intends to give support to all the research groups of the University of León that require image analysis to develop their projects and thus enhance their lines of research in animal models. It is also contemplated that several companies can have this equipment through agreements with the University through the research groups for the transfer of university-company knowledge. (English)
