Obiectivul general: Imbunatatirea accesului si participarii la activitati de formare a personalului medical implicat in derularea Programului National de Sanatate a Femeii si Copilului, in vederea cresterii calitatii serviciilor in medicina materno-fetala. Dorina Duma, Mihai Moisescu Goia, Ioana Moldovan, Adriana Melnic. Clujul Medical 2010 Vol. LXXXIII - Supliment 1". Intr-un amplu raport realizat in 2013 de organizatia "Salvati Copiii", "Indexul mamelor" Romania ocupa locul 61 in ceea ce priveste politica statului de sprijinire a mamelor, din totalul de 64 de state de pe continentul european. In ceea ce priveste mortalitatea infantila in prima zi de viata, trei copii din 1.000 nascuti in Romania mor, procent similar cu cel raportat in China, Tongo, Sri Lanka sau Samoa. (Raport, 2013, Salvati copii).

General objective: Improving the access and participation in training activities of the medical staff involved in the National Women’s and Child Health Programme, in order to increase the quality of services in maternal-fetal medicine. The project aims to: — to ensure access to 5 training programs specific to the medical sector for a number of 772 persons involved in the implementation of the National Programme for Women’s and Child Health, from the eight regions of Romania; — to ensure access to the latest scientific discoveries in the medical sector through participation in congresses/conferences/exchanges of experience and best practices at European level for a number of 100 specialists involved in the implementation of the National Programme for Women’s and Child Health, from the eight regions of Romania; — to facilitate social innovation in the medical field in Romania by developing a guide to good practices similar to those used in the EU. At the beginning of 1990, Romania had the highest maternal and infant mortality in Europe and one of the highest in the world. The infant mortality rate although it had a downward trend between 2007 and 2012 remains the highest rate in the EU countries being 2.4 times above the European average (~4¢ in 2011). The most common causes of child death are perinatal conditions (34 %), followed by respiratory diseases (29 %) and congenital pathologies (ca. 25 %) – "Mother and Child Health – Public Health Priority in Cluj County. Dorina Duma, Mihai Moisescu Goia, Ioana Moldovan, Adriana Melnic. Cluj Medical 2010 Vol. LXXXIII – Supplement 1”. In a comprehensive report made in 2013 by the organisation “Save the Children”, “Mothers’ Index” Romania ranks 61st in terms of the state policy of supporting mothers, out of 64 states on the European continent. In terms of infant mortality on the first day of life, three children out of 1,000 born in Romania die, similar to that reported in China, Tongo, Sri Lanka or Samoa. (Report, 2013, Save the Children). These population groups are the most vulnerable and have a great demographic and socio-economic importance, representing specific needs and requiring particular care and preferential healthcare. In order to respond to the major problems in the field of maternal and child health, the Ministry of Health has initiated since the beginning of the 90's the National Programme for Women’s and Child Health whose objectives are to reduce maternal and child mortality and morbidity, through multiple complex interventions, which are implemented both at the level of family medicine and of the specialised structures of obstetric-gynecology and pediatrics. This is why the project will carry out activities to train the medical staff involved in the implementation of the National Programme for Women’s and Child Health in the eight regions of Romania. From the target group, 772 people will be involved (English)
