El proyecto “Red eléctrica de soporte a la experimentación y ensayos de nuevas tecnologías que utilizan los recursos energéticos marinos para generar electricidad y para la conexión de tecnologías para la observación a profundidades crecientes (REDSUB)” consiste en la realización de una serie de actividades que van desde el diseño, adquisición e instalación, hasta la puesta en marcha de una Red eléctrica y de datos marina-terrestre en el área de dominio público marítimo-terrestre reservada a favor del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad y encomendada para su gestión al Consorcio PLOCAN.
