El Plan Operativo Plurirregional de España 2014-2020 incluye entre sus ejes ¿potenciar la investigación, el desarrollo tecnológico y la innovación¿. En este marco, la Unidad de Investigación del Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos es referente en investigación en Salud en Castilla-La Mancha reconocida en la Estrategia de Especialización Inteligente RIS3 2014-2020. Este estatus se debe, entre otros, a la existencia de Plataformas Científico-Técnicas (PCT) con tecnologías punteras que permiten una investigación de vanguardia. Las Plataformas se crearon en 2007 y se dotaron con infraestructuras científicas de última generación integradas en diferentes áreas. El presente proyecto solicita la adquisición de equipamiento para estas PCT de manera que se pueda mantener su nivel de excelencia. La solicitud consta de:_x000D_ 1. Sistema de microscopía para efectuar High Content Screening (análisis masivo de preparaciones celulares y tisulares) y ampliarlo para realizar imágenes en mosaico de estructuras macroscópicas a resolución microscópica._x000D_ 2. Sistema de espectrometría de masas (LC-MS/MS) con configuración híbrida de analizadores en tándem y fuente de ionización tipo ESI._x000D_ Ambos sistemas son excelentes para abordar líneas de investigación relacionadas con la fisiopatología y el tratamiento de la lesión medular y otras patologías que actualmente se investigan en el Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos y en otras instituciones con las que se colabora. The 2014-2020 Spanish pluriregional operational plan comprises the ¿improvement of research, technological advance, and innovation¿ among its axes. Within this framework, the 2014-2020 RIS3 Strategies for Smart Specialization acknowledge the Research Unit of the National Hospital for Paraplegics as the reference of Health Research in Castilla-La Mancha. This status is due, among others, to the creation in 2007 of Scientific and Technical Platforms (STP) equipped with the technologies required for cutting edge research. The present proposal applies for funding to renew the equipments of the STP in order to preserve the level of excellence. The proposed upgrading will comprise:_x000D_ 1. High Content Screening/Analysis microscopy system, prepared for massive analysis of cell and tissue preparations and capable for tile scan of macroscopic structures with microscopic resolution._x000D_ 2. A LC-MS/MS mass spectrometry system with a hybrid configuration of tándem analyzers and ESI ionization source, of high resolution, sensitivity, speed, and mass stability._x000D_ Both systems are excellent for the research lines currently under development at UdI-HNP and in other regional and national institutions.
