Obiectivul general al proiectului "Modernizare pista de biciclete si infrastructura pietonala. Modernizare autobaza si statii de autobuze, pentru transportul public de calatori" vizeaza crearea unor piste de biciclete care vor eficientiza reabilitarea infrastructurii, adaptarea la standardele europene prin imbunatatirea infrastructurii de circulatie pentru biciclisti si cresterea sigurantei in trafic a biciclistilor si pietonilor in vecinatatea arterelor de circulatie existente si totodata diminuarea efectelor poluarii aerului asupra mediului si sanatatii populatiei cauzate de emisiile de gaze de esapament de la autovehicule. Totodata prin proiect se doreste si modernizarea autobazei, statii de autobuz si achiztionare de autobuze publice electrice pentru reducerea emisiilor de carbon. Astfel, prin intermediul obiectivului general al proiectului acesta va contribui semnificativ la indeplinirea obiectivului general al Programului Operational Regional 2014-2020 care vizeaza cresterea competitivitatii economice si imbunatatirea conditiilor de viata ale comunitatilor locale si regionale, prin sprijinirea dezvoltarii mediului de afaceri, a conditiilor infrastrucuturale si a serviciilor care sa asigure o dezvoltare sustenabila a regiunilor capabile sa gestioneze in mod eficient resursele, sa valorifice potentialul lor de inovare si de asimilare a progresului tehnologic. De asemenea, proiectul are la baza indeplinirea obiectivului specific al Prioritatii de investitii 3.2 care consta in reducerea emisiilor de carbon in zonele urbane bazata pe planurile de mobilitate urbana durabila. General objective of the project "Modernisation of the bicycle track and pedestrian infrastructure. Self-base modernisation and bus stations, for public passenger transport" aims to create bicycle paths that will streamline infrastructure rehabilitation, adapt to European standards by improving the traffic infrastructure for cyclists and increasing traffic safety of cyclists and pedestrians in the vicinity of existing traffic arteries and at the same time reducing the effects of air pollution on the environment and population health caused by exhaust emissions from cars. The project also wants to modernise the busbase, bus stations and the purchase of public electric buses to reduce carbon emissions. Thus, through the general objective of the project, it will contribute significantly to the achievement of the general objective of the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020, which aims to increase economic competitiveness and improve the living conditions of local and regional communities, by supporting the development of the business environment, infrastructure conditions and services that ensure a sustainable development of regions capable of efficiently managing resources, exploiting their potential for innovation and assimilation of technological progress. The project is also based on the achievement of the specific objective of investment priority 3.2 which is to reduce carbon emissions in urban areas based on sustainable urban mobility plans.
