Dôvodom modernizácie a najmä zlepšenie energetickej hospodárnosti Kultúrneho domu v miestnej časti Medzilaboriec - Borove je zlepšiť tepelno-technické vlastnosti obvodových a strešných konštrukcií za účelom zníženia energetickej náročnosti a novými povrchovými úpravami obnoviť budovu. Projekt rieši zateplenie obvodových a strešných konštrukcií, ktoré nevyhovujú súčasným tepelne technickým požiadavkám. Objekt slúži ako budova kultúrneho domu, knižnice a posilňovne. Čo sa týka samotnej prevádzky a dispozície, tá sa nemení.Predložený projekt priamo nadväzuje na aktivity realizované mestom Medzilaborce v minulosti a ktoré boli spojené s využitím marketingového potenciálu cestovného ruchu (POP ART - Andy Warhol).Zmodernizovaný kultúrny dom bude predstavovať ucelený kompaktný celok dokumentujúci prvky tradičnej kultúry rusínov a umeleckého štýlu POP ART) a bude predstavovať prostriedok udržateľnosti výsledkov projektu, pretože sa stane miestom pravidelne organizovaných nielen kultúrnych podujatí ale zároveň aj prezentácie umeleckých, historických a spoločenských danností regiónu. The reason for modernisation and, in particular, improvement of the energy performance of the Cultural House in the local part of Medzilaboriec – Borove is to improve the thermal and technical properties of peripheral and roof structures in order to reduce energy intensity and new finishes to restore the building. The project deals with insulation of perimeter and roof structures that do not meet current thermal technical requirements. The building serves as a building of a cultural house, library and gym. As for the operation itself and the layout, it does not change. The submitted project is directly linked to the activities carried out by the city of Medzilaborce in the past and which were associated with the utilisation of the marketing potential of tourism (POP ART – Andy Warhol). The modernised cultural house will represent a complete compact whole documenting elements of the traditional culture of Rusyns and artistic style POP ART) and will be a means of sustainability of the project results, as it will become a place of regularly organised not only cultural events but also presentations of artistic, historical and social taxes of the region.
