The aim of the project is to reduce the energy intensity of the building of the University of Žilina in ilina, namely the BJ block located at: University 8215/1, 010 26 ilina. This block is mainly used to ensure the teaching process of a high school study. The existing building was realised approx. in 1969 as a single and two-storey building with a basement in a small part of the building, with a construction system of elezobetone and steel skeleton with filler masonry, with a flat roof finished attic and ledge with built-up area of about 3114.96 m². The object is connected to all ininiers networks. The building is used for teaching and research activities for students along with backgrounds for teachers and researchers. The building is currently insulated with 6 cm polystyrene, the roof above the halls is after overhaul of the covering, which currently complies with the thermal standard, but the roofs above the corridors do not have sufficient insulation and therefore it is necessary to realise their warming from the exterior together with the coating covering of PVC hr.1,5 mm (SIKA, FATRAFOL...).The proposed building modifications represent insulation of the perimeter walls of the diluted part of the building, including filling holes, insulation of the strung structure above the connecting corridors, replacement of luminaires and regulation of the heating system.  The proposed changes will reduce the overall energy intensity of the building from the current energy class B (global indicator – Primary energy) to energy class A1, the building will become the implementation of the ultra-low-energy project.
