A intervenção prende-se basicamente com a requalificação das fachadas e cobertura da Igreja Românica de Canas de Santa Maria, assim como a envolvente exterior à mesma de forma a dignificar um monumento classificado que se localiza a cerca de 200 m do núcleo central da povoação de Canas de Santa Maria, e a poucos metros da Ecopista do Dão, antiga linha de caminhos-de-ferro.
