Grad Đurđevac se udružio sa 7 općina kako bi se mještanima jasno definirala njihova uloga u cjelovitom sustavu gospodarenja otpadom, o hijerarhiji gospodarenja otpadom kao i o koristima uređenog cjelovitog sustava s ciljem izgradnje svijesti stanovnika s navedenog područja o važnosti odgovornog postupanja s komunalnim otpadom, s posebnim naglaskom na sprječavanje nastanka otpada, pravilno odvajanje otpada u kućanstvima, kućno kompostiranje i ponovnu uporabu predmeta, s ciljem kako bi se smanjile količine otpada koji se odlaže na odlagališta. Ciljane skupine su svi građani, edukatori, odgojno-obrazovne institucije, djeca i mladi. (Croatian)

The city of Đurđevac joined together with 7 municipalities to clearly define their respective roles in their integrated waste management system, the hierarchy of waste management as well as the benefits of a regulated integrated system with a view to building people’s citizens’ awareness of the importance of responsible treatment with municipal waste, with a particular focus on the prevention of waste, proper separation of waste in households, home composting and re-use, with a view to reducing the amount of waste landfilled. The target groups are all citizens, educators, education institutions, children and youth. (English)
