Projektet fokuserar på företag inom sport- och outdoorbranschen och samarbetar med elva regionala företag i deras arbete med produktutveckling. Företagens behov finns uttryckta i avsiktsförklaringar som beskriver företaget i korta ordalag och vad företaget förväntar sig att få ut av sitt deltagande i projektet. Dokumenten utgör underlag för utvärdering och uppföljning av projektet och styr innehållet för projektets insatser. Företagen är: Hilleberg the Tentmaker AB, SafetyRespect AB, Rock Group Sweden AB, Woolpower AB, Spectrumare AB, Swedish Engineering AB, Extra Evil Distribution AB, Light My Fire Sweden AB, Klättermusen AB Aktiv Ortopedteknik i Jämtland AB och Lundhags Skomakarna AB. Testmiljöer som byggts upp på universitetet genom tidigare projektverksamheter ska nyttjas i detta projekt och tjänar som en gemensam, central tillgång för tester av material och konstruktioner. Arbetspunkterna i projektet innehåller aktiviteter där allt från kortare insatser på någon vecka där mindre omfattande forskningsfrågor adresseras, till längre och mer ingående insatser. En genomsyrande central komponent i majoriteten av aktiviteterna är hållbarhet och miljöhänsyn. Projektet ska också utveckla individanpassade produkter för människor med funktionsnedsättningar genom att arbeta med metod- och produktutveckling med fokus på applikationer för rörelse, idrott och friluftsliv. The project focuses on companies in the sports and outdoor industry and collaborates with eleven regional companies in their work with product development. The needs of the companies are expressed in declarations of intent that describe the company in short terms and what the company expects to get out of its participation in the project. The documents form the basis for evaluation and follow-up of the project and control the content of the project’s efforts. The companies are: Hilleberg the Tentmaker AB, SafetyRespect AB, Rock Group Sweden AB, Woolpower AB, Spectrumare AB, Swedish Engineering AB, Extra Evil Distribution AB, Light My Fire Sweden AB, Klättermusen AB Active Orthopedics in Jämtland AB and Lundhags skomakarna AB. Test environments built up at the university through previous project activities will be utilised in this project and serve as a common, central asset for testing of materials and constructions. The work points in the project include activities ranging from shorter efforts in a week where less extensive research questions are addressed, to longer and more in-depth initiatives. A permeating central component in the majority of the activities is sustainability and environmental considerations. The project will also develop personalised products for people with disabilities by working with method and product development with a focus on applications for movement, sports and outdoor activities.
