Účelem výše uvedené stavby je přechod z parního zásobování teplem na horkovodní v oblasti sídliště Jih, Dr. Horákové, Čapkova, Za Kapličkou a Amerika II. Oblast bude zásobována teplem z nového horkovodního rozvodu , v systému dvoutrubkového předizolovaného potrubí uloženém volně v zemní rýze v trase stávajícího parovodního nebo sekundárního tepelného kanálu. The purpose of the above construction is the transition from steam supply to hot water in the area of housing estates South, Dr. Horáková, Čapkova, Za Kaplička and America II.
