Jedná se o regionální jednokolejnou neelektrifikovanou železniční trať č. 210 Praha - Vrané nad Vltavou - Čerčany obsluhující jihozápadní a jižní část pražské aglomerace. Délka řešeného úseku je 50,125 km. V tomto úseku se nachází 13 zastávek a 7 železničních stanic.
