The two partners initiated this project to ensure better living conditions to their residents by ensuring energy efficient street lighting in the municipalities.The aim of the project is to ensure energy efficient lighting in 4 villages within Municipality of Blagoevgrad and 8 setlement in Municipality of Delchevo and to promote the sustainable use of the natural resources in the CB area through various thematic workshops on topics “Sustainable Use of the Natural Resources" and “Environment Protection”. During these workshops specific measures will be indicated for further common actions in the environmental sphere.The main outputs of the project are: ensured energy efficient street lighting in villages within Municipality of Blagoevgrad – Logodazh, Padesh, Zelen Dol and Pokrovnik - replaced existing street lighting structures with new LED street lighting types and Developed intelligent management systems; ensured energy efficient street lighting in 7 villages within Municipality of Delchevo, as wel as in the town of Delchevo, as follows: village of Gabrovo, village of Dzvegor, village Razlovtsi, village Virche, village Grad, village Trabotivishte, village Stamer and the town of Delchevo; - ensured LED lights for public lighting - 28 W (600 pcs); - ensured LED lights for public lighting - 60 W (110 pcs); - ensured LED lights for public lighting - 100 W (50 pcs); Conducted 2 days workshop "Sustainable Use of the Natural Resources" in Delchevo; conducted 2 days workshop "Environment Protection" in Blagoevgrad; The project is designed to have a great multiplier effect and potential for further development, as it starts the basis for common action on the topics of environment protection and common use of the natural resources in the CB area. During workshops on topics “Sustainable Use of the Natural Resources" and “Environment Protection” specific measures will be indicated for further common actions in the environmental sphere.
