A tervezett kerékpárút Gerendás és Csorvás között húzódik, mindkét település közigazgatási területét érintve, így a két település konzorciumban kívánja a projektet megvalósítani. A konzorciumi megállapodás a pályázat mellékletét képezi. A konzorcium vezetője Gerendás Község Önkormányzata. A település Békés megyében Békéscsaba járásban helyezkedik el. Jelenleg a község 1289 lakosú. Megközelíthetőségét tekintve a Csorváson keresztül haladó 47-es főútvonaltól 6 km-es bekötőút vezet a településre, amely hazánk első alap nélküli betonútja. Belterületén (Ady Endre utca – Kossuth Lajos utca – Petőfi Sándor utca) természetvédelmileg védett hársfasor található. Gerendás adottságai és hagyományai miatt elsősorban mezőgazdasági településnek tekinthető kiemelkedően jó minőségű termőfölddel rendelkezik. A 2001-es népszámlálási adatok alapján azonban figyelemre méltó, hogy az iparban, építőiparban és a szolgáltató jellegű ágazatokban helyben foglalkoztatottak száma kevéssel meghaladja a mezőgazdaságban foglalkoztatottakét. Gerendás azzal a sajátos földrajzi fekvéssel rendelkezik, hogy Békéscsaba és Orosháza között egyedül itt üzemel strandfürdő. Így az nem csupán a helyi igényeket elégíti ki, hanem a szomszédos településekre is vonzerőt gyakorol, ahonnan jellemzően kerékpárral érkeznek a látogatók. A településen van általános iskola, óvoda, művelődési ház és orvosi rendelő. Hagyományosnak nevezhető a kertészeti növénykultúra, mely szintén nagy számban vonzza a környékbeli településekről a napszámban dolgozókat, akik szintén kerékpárral közlekednek. A település kedvező adottságokkal rendelkezik a kerékpáros közlekedéshez, amelynek komoly hagyományai és részben kiépített úthálózata van. A belterületi közlekedésfejlesztést érdemes ebben az irányban folytatni. A belterületi utcák burkoltak, az úthálózat fejlesztésében kiemelt cél a közvetlen Orosháza-Gerendás (4447. sz.) közúti kapcsolat kiépítése. Csorvás Város Gerendástól északra helyezkedik el, a Tisza-Körös-Maros közötti területen, a 47. számú főúton Békéscsabától 22, Orosházától 16 kilométerre. A településen általános és művészeti iskola, óvoda és bölcsőde működik. Időskorúak ellátását az Egyesített Szociális Intézményben valósul meg, ahol nappali és bentlakásos ellátásban részesülhetnek. A település agrárjellegű, mivel földjei kiválóan alkalmasak mezőgazdasági termelésre, emellett azonban a feldolgozó- és a könnyűipar is jelen van a városban. Csorváson vezet keresztül a 47-es számú főút mellett fekvő, Békéscsabát Hódmezővásárhellyel összekötő kerékpárút, mely a térségi hálózat része. A tervezett létesítmény ide csatlakozik be. A teljes megépítendő nyomvonal hossza mintegy 6 km. Projekt részletes bemutatása: A projekt keretében 8 mérföldkő került tervezésre, melyből az első a projekt tartalmi-műszaki előkészítése. Ennek keretében Kerékpárforgalmi Hálózati Terv készül, mely mind a támogatóval, mind a KKK tervzsűrivel egyeztetésre kerül. Ezzel párhuzamosan kiviteli tervek készülnek, illetve egyéb megalapozó dokumentumok is (pl. Megvalósíthatósági Tanulmány). A 2. mérföldkő ideje alatt lefolytatásra kerül a kivitelező kiválasztására irányuló közbeszerzési eljárás. A 3-6. mérföldkő idejében kerül sor a kivitelezésre. A mérföldkövek 25, 50, 75 és 100%-os készültséghez vannak igazítva. A kivitelezés ideje alatt műszaki ellenőrt alkalmazunk. Az építési beruházás megvalósulását követően, a 7. mérföldkőben kerül sor a szemléletformáló tevékenység megvalósítására, melynek keretében a közlekedésbiztonság javítása és a közlekedési kultúra színvonalának az emelése érdekében szemléletformáló rendezvények és társadalmi felelősségvállalást erősítő akciók, közlekedésbiztonságot segítő programok kerülnek lebonyolításra. Az utolsó mérföldkő 3 hónapra kalkulált ideje alatt kerülhet sor a projekt zárására és a végső elszámolásra. A projekt futamideje így 28 hónap, mely idő alatt a projektmenedzsment és a nyilvánosság biztosítása folyamatos. A tervezett Gerendás külterületén kezdődik, ahol 1,8 km megépítése után becsatlakozik a belterületi meglévő kerékpárútba. A gerendási belterületi építés hossza 930 m. A meglévő kerékpárút másik végpontjánál a kiépítés folytatódik Gerendás és Csorvás közötti külterületen, összesen 2,6 km-en. Csorvásra beérve a létesítmény 650 m után becsatlakozik a csorvási meglévő kerékpárútba és ez által a 47-es úttal párhuzamosan futó térségi kerékpárútba is. A teljes kiépített nyomvonal összesen 5980 m. A beruházás a 4431 sz. állami közúttal párhuzamosan, a gépjárműforgalomtól elválasztott, önálló vonalvezetésű, kétirányú egyoldali kerékpárútként valósul meg. A közút napi forgalma a 2014 évi forgalomszámlálási adatok alapján 2287 E/nap. A főúton jelentős az átmenő forgalom, főleg a tehergépjárművek tekintetében. A közút útburkolat állapota erősen leromlott, ami főleg a burkolatszélt érinti, így a kerékpáros közlekedés az útszakaszon jelenleg nem biztonságos. The planned cycle path is between Gerendás and Csorvás, affecting the administrative areas of both municipalities, so the two municipalities intend to implement the project in a consortium. Currently, the village has 1,289 inhabitants. In terms of accessibility, a 6 km access road from the main road 47 through Csorvás leads to the settlement, which is the first concrete road in Hungary without any foundation. In its interior (Ady Endre utca — Kossuth Lajos utca — Petőfi Sándor utca) there is a protected linden tree line. Due to its beam characteristics and traditions, it has an extremely high quality farmland, which can be considered primarily an agricultural settlement. However, according to the 2001 census data, it is noteworthy that the number of people employed locally in industry, construction and service sectors is slightly higher than in agriculture. Beam has a unique geographical location where the only beach bath between Békéscsaba and Orosháza is located. Thus, it not only meets local needs, but also attracts neighbouring settlements, where visitors typically come by bicycle. In the village there is an elementary school, kindergarten, a cultural house and a medical practice. Horticultural plant culture can be called traditional, which also attracts a large number of people working in the sun from the surrounding settlements, who also travel by bicycle. The settlement has favourable conditions for cycling, which has a long tradition and a partly built road network. Urban transport development should be continued in this direction. The urban streets were paved, and the development of the road network is the direct road link between Orosháza-Gerendás (No. 4447). The town of Csorvás is located north of Gerendás, in the area between Tisza-Körös-Maros, on the main road no. 47.22 km from Békéscsaba and 16 km from Orosháza. There is a primary and art school, kindergarten and nursery. Care for the elderly is realised in the Unified Social Institution, where they can benefit from living and residential care. The settlement has an agricultural character, as its lands are very suitable for agricultural production, but the processing and light industry is also present in the city. The bicycle road connecting Békéscsaba to Hódmezővásárhely, which is part of the regional network, leads through Csorvás. The planned facility will be connected here. The length of the entire track to be built is approximately 6 km. Detailed description of the project: Within the framework of the project 8 milestones have been planned, the first of which is the content and technical preparation of the project. Within this framework, a bicycle traffic network plan will be prepared, which will be agreed with both the sponsor and the JRC design jury. At the same time, construction plans and other supporting documents (e.g. feasibility study) are also prepared. During milestone 2, the procurement procedure for the selection of the contractor will be carried out. The construction will take place at the time of milestones 3-6. The milestones are aligned to 25, 50, 75 and 100 % alerts. During the construction, we employ a technical inspector. Following the completion of the construction project, the awareness-raising activity will be carried out in the 7th milestone, in which awareness-raising events and social responsibility actions and transport safety support programmes are carried out in order to improve transport safety and improve the quality of transport culture. The project’s closure and final settlement can take place during the 3 months period of the last milestone. The duration of the project is therefore 28 months, during which the project management and publicity are continuous. The planned Gerendás begins in the outskirts of Gerendás, where after 1.8 km it joins the existing cycling path in the urban area. At the other end of the existing cycle path, the construction will continue in the outskirts between Gerendás and Csorvás, on a total of 2.6 km. After 650 m, the facility connects to the existing cycle path and the regional cycle path running parallel to Route 47. The total constructed track is 5 980 m. The investment is carried out in parallel to State road No 4431 as a two-way one-way cycle path separated from motor vehicle traffic.
