The Country of Art and History (CAH) of Tech and Ter Catalan valleys of is since 2015 an European Association of Territorial Cooperation, with an own legal structure. 5 years after obtaining the label from the French Ministry of Culture and having done an important work of professionalisation of heritage and territorial animation, the CAH can now engage in a program of actions meeting the tasks of a "Country of Art and History". Patrimc@t is thus the materialization of the label in the territory. So, the main objectives of the project are: • To create a network of heritage sites and interpretive routes for locals, young audiences and visitors. • To contribute to the economic development of a rural area by creating a professional offer for all common throughout the year. • To reinforce the professionals of culture and tourism by developing new activities and access to professional resources. Awarded for the first time a cross-border area (31 French and Spanish municipalities), the label takes on a new dimension with a border management tool (GECT) and Patrimc@t project (operational implementation). Uniquely, the Country of Art and History: • Is a laboratory on the application and adaptation of the national systems across borders. • Opens a new methodological framework for the management and enhancement of the common heritage.
