    Low social cohesion represents one of the main challenges within the cross border area. The project will address the causes of this challenges related to health care, in order to contribute to developing sustainable and accessible public health care in Turnu Magurele City and Nikopol Municipality. In this respect, the project envisage to improve the efficiency of health services and the collaboration between health care providers at the level of communities from Turnu Magurele and Nikopol. The project aim is to improve the efficiency of health services and the collaboration between health care providers at the level of communities from Turnu Magurele and Nikopol. Specific objectives are: To modernize the health services provided by the hospitals from Turnu Magurele and Nikopol To develop the cross-border cooperation within health field between Turnu Magurele and NikopolExpected results: 2 hospitals modernized (Turnu Magurele and Nikopol) 2 exchanges of experience between hospitals employeesTotal budget: 814.148,08 Euro. Main activities: Activity 1 Project Preparation consists of identifying the project partners and creating the partnership. Activity 2 Project management will ensure the project implementation, in line with the project objectives and results, in accordance with the rules and provision stated in the financing contract. It will consist of coordination of the project implementation and team. The project general coordination will be ensured by a steering committee composed by the legal representatives of each beneficiary. Activity 3 Information and publicity will ensure the project visibility and promotion, through on-line, printing, in accordance with the Programme Visual Identity Manual rules. All the information regarding the project (activities, objectives, results, financing, etc.) will be posted on the partners web sites. In order to enforce the promotion of the project and to ensure large audience being informed about the project will be organized 2 conferences (60 participants/conference) during the project implementation period (project launching conference – year 1 in Romania, 1 final conference during year 2 in Bulgaria). Activity 4 Modernization of the hospital in Turnu Magurele will consist of modernization of hospital from Turnu Magurele, based on hospital needs, meaning purchasing equipment according to the table below. The equipment will contribute to raising the quality of health care provided to the citizens and to improve theirs access to modern treatment. The equipment will ensure capacity for professional and quality treatment of different types of diseases through an early and timely diagnostics. Activity 5 Modernization of the hospital in Nikopol will consist of modernization of hospital from Nikopol city, based on hospital needs, meaning purchasing equipment, according to the table below. The equipment will contribute to increasing the share of citizens with access to modern and quality treatment, through improving the hospital capacity to provide professional and quality treatment. Activity 6 Exchange of experience and best practices will consist of organizing 2 exchanges of experience (1 in Turnu Magurele and 1 in Nikopol) for 4 days for 20 employees from hospital from Nikopol and 20 from hospital from Turnu Magurele. The exchanges of experience will ensure the premises for strengthening the cross-border cooperation between the 2 beneficiaries in health care area and will focus on cross border healthcare cooperation for a better provision of healthcare, in terms of efficiency, adaptability with a comparable quality. Fulfillment of the project expected results will generate on one hand to improving the health care services and on the other hand to strengthening cooperation capacity through: developing health care infrastructure Exchange of experience between hospitals employeesThe cooperation between the 2 beneficiaries will be strengthen through the project activities. The exchange of experience activity will focus on cross border healthcare cooperation for a better provision of healthcare, in terms of efficiency, adaptability with a comparable quality. (English)
