THE PROJECT AIMS TO INCREASE THE CAPACITY OF BUILDINGS AND CONSEQUENTLY URBANISED AREAS TO RESPOND ADEQUATELY TO INTENSE RAIN EVENTS, LIMITING FLOODING AND CONSEQUENT DANGERS, DAMAGE AND INCONVENIENCE TO THE POPULATION. TO DO THIS, THE PROJECT WILL LOOK FOR A NEW WAY OF PROCESSING THE STATISTICAL DATA RELATED TO RAINS, WILL CREATE NEW PREDICTIVE MODELS TO SUPPORT DECISIONS AND PRODUCE NEW PROTOCOLS TO BE USED FOR THE CORRECT DESIGN OF BUILDINGS.
