    THIS PLAN IS BORN OUT OF THE AWARENESS THAT THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL COHESION AND INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE, AS WELL AS LAPPREZZATION OF DIVERSITY AND EQUALITY INCLUDING GENDER LEGUAGLIANZA FOR THIS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, DEVELOP KNOWLEDGE AMONG PUPILS AND LEAD THEM TO REFLECTION AND DEBATE ON THE RELEVANCE AND IMPLICATIONS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION FOR EVERYDAY LIFE AND WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A EUROPEAN CITIZEN, INCLUDING TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE MULTILINGUAL CHARACTER OF THE UNION, THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF ANY EDUCATION FOR DEMOCRATIC CITIZENSHIP AND HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION. THE PROPOSED AVR PATH AS A GENERAL OBJECTIVE IS TO MAKE PUPILS THE PROTAGONISTS OF A PROCESS OF SELF-AWARENESS THAT WILL LEAD TO UNDERSTANDING HOW TO EXERCISE ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIAL AND EUROPEAN PERSONAL LIFE.
