Nesta zona encontram-se importantes equipamentos coletivos, como a referida Estação Ferroviária, a sede do Clube Desportivo, o Centro Social e os antigos Celeiros da EPAC, onde funciona um importante Centro de Transformação de Produtos Endógenos.
